This is a celebratory cup of tea because crazy things are going on and I like them quite a lot.
This is not where I envisioned myself a year ago, but this is considerably better than what I was expecting a few months ago.

This was from the other day when my Internet was down.
I got some cool little certificates from French Honor Society. One of them was for participating in Le Grand Concours. I think I got 10th in the state of Florida, but I don’t exactly remember because it’s not listed explicitly on the damn paper.
But YAAAAY FOR BILINGUALISM!

I actually left my house on a Friday night for once, and it was lovely. I bought the cheapest tickets I could find to see The Moscow Festival Ballet perform Cinderella, and the seats ended up being quite nice. The costumes were really colorful and interesting, and the choreography was just fun to watch. The girl dancing the lead fit the part really well, and the stepsisters were great together. I’ll be on a ballet high for the next week, at least.
That’s about $300 of smelly pointe shoes right there. I always keep them, even after I retire them.
Do you guys throw them out or do you have them on display in your room like I do?

Just finished sewing my Rubins! This isn’t the best pirouette in the world. (I’m not used to these shoes, the floor is really slick, I didn’t warm up, I have bad technique in general, etc.) I’m just really excited to start breaking these in. c:
